Across the Bridge

Across the bridge, there's no more sorrow
Across the bridge, there's no more pain
The sun's going shine, across the river
And you'll never be unhappy again.

I love this old song. It was written by my husband's niece many years ago. Its words should most definitely be the cry of God's people. And even though the bridge to crossover to the other side seems some distance today; tomorrow it will be just that much closer.

I know a lot of old songs, but I don't think I've ever heard this one. I like the words.

As I read these words I can hear the voice of an old friend as he would sing the song. Love the message within these words.

Carol,
Jim Reese recorded the song also. It has meaningful words throughout the whole song. But just wanted to use these.

Mervi,
It does have a great message.

Love that old song! I'm picturing a record with a Wilkinson on it...

Am I correct?

Kathy, you are correct. Brenda Wilkinson Gregory. I still have her album somewhere.
