An off-day from medical appointments so me and The Papa spent Wednesday at Stanford Mall in Palo Alto. Beautiful decor and shop windows bubbling in delight - special pastry treats at La Baguetto and a candy store that was out of sight (err..taste). The sales weren't that bad either (Macy's 70% off original price, plus 20% more at register).

It was fun shopping. Hardly bought anything (just for me and hubby) as the kids all want gift cards. For me, it takes the worry out of whether I got them something they wanted or not. Even my grandkids are to the age that they have certain preferences. Gift cards are sure to please.

I was surprised that the pics turned out so well as it was my cell phone. However, the sights were so beautiful that I guess I couldn't fail.

The pastries with their beautiful icings and deletable fruits really intrigued me. I didn't want to leave the window but it was so cold that I finally had to.
