Greed, Greed, Greed

Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction. Erich Fromm

I don't know about you but it seems every day I come across instances of Greed. Greed (aka Selfishness) is defined as concern for one's own welfare without any consideration of others. Unfortunately, we are taught that the first rule of life is "me first" and foremost. First our motives are just, we start out with the need for self-preservation - and then after obtaining enough to sustain ourselves, we want more. It is at that point that it turns to Greed.

I pray that we as God's people will take a hard look within ourselves, and not let concern for only ourselves cause us to disregard others and their needs. We live in a world that is hungry for what we feel and experience in the Lord. They just need our direction to find it. Today make it a Share Day.

So true....we have a generation of people that have their hand out to receive, when it is so much better to give.

Love & Prayers!

Frances,
Too, too many want. And they want beyond their needs and comfort zone - it is a sad state of affairs.

April,
Thanks.
