A Place of Beauty

Wanted to share some pictures my daughter Kellee snapped during our visit to Gallup & Stribling's Orchid farm. G&S is one of my favorite places - the orchids are breathtaking. The farm occupies 48 acres along the central California coast just south of Santa Barbara. If you get the chance to visit, be prepared to walk away with a beauty or two (its warehouse prices are irresistible - my house and yard enclosure are testimonies to the fact).

Mervi, Truer words could not be spoken. Paradise-plus!

Rochelle, Definitely the breathtaking works of God.

Gayla, You'd love the place. I try to go at least every month or so during the fall, winter and spring. Summer the orchids are mostly dormant.

Awesome orchids! I've always wanted to try my hand at growing them. Right now my home would not work and I'm gone too much. When I retire seems like a better time. Lord willing.
Happy New Year with many blessings.

The yellow/fushia orchid is absolutely gorgeous! I have never seen this color combination before. Someday I'll have to get there myself.

I spoke to Kellee last night, and she told me how much she enjoyed her time with you. I am glad you all got some quality time together! Happy Holidays!

Catherine, my husband manages our orchids (ie, does the hard work). I just place them throughout the house. They have the ability to make an environment happy. And yes, it is a retirement thing if you want to do them justice. Happy New Year.

Jana, God certainly knows how to design beauty, which He so unselfishly shares with us.

Monica, isn't that color combo gorgeous. I know you would love the place - and Sam would have a heyday with his camera. It was great to have Kellee home, and we had a wonderful time down south. Happy New Year's to you. Get plenty of rest, baby is almost here and sleep will be unobtainable once he makes his presence.
