Cultivating Our World

You may only be someone in the world,
but to someone else, you may be their world.

I love this quote. It always makes me think about that old movie, "It's a Wonderful Life". The man thought that the people in his life would be better off if he had never existed, but found out that was far from the truth.

It comes down to unselfishness and "preferring your brother". Love you!

Just a thought said...

I have often wondered; of all the lives that I walk through or just touch each and every day. Where of what is my effect on each of them? I understand that my world is also a central part of others! Still what is the effect I have?
Oh Lord allow me the wisdom and understanding for these other world I am a miniature part of.

I love this quote too! We might not ever know who we mean the world to, that's why I think it's best to live like Jesus!

Tena,
I love your words "preferring your brother". Oh how much better lives would be if this was their desire.

Tracie,
Thanks.

Mervi,
It is important that we be mindful how we are seen by others - and what goodness we can offer their lives.

Mindy,
We may never know until eternity who are lives have touched. How important it is to strive to be like Him.

April,
You are so right. We need to be the world to our children.

Something to remember when the sky turns gray. Cute picture to illustrate a great quote.

Catherine,
The picture came from a contest our California Farm Bureau had, and neighboring bureau member won what I believe was First Place.
