Melody Making

Eph 5.19 “…singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us.
Martin Luther

Beautiful music! I am one who so enjoys good music, not loud, music made to induce or affect both the spirit and the emotions. David’s second form of employment was to pay music and clam the spirit of Saul. I feel a blessed man that the two women in my life both were able to make music. Dana was one of those blessed people who could make music with any instrument as well as sing. Virginia is a great piano player and singer. I am not one of those who limit myself to Gospel music. There are numerous types, styles and forms of music that I so enjoy. SORRY! This new rap and rock music are two “music?” forms which I have a problem with. Probley due more to my age.

You know, my day starts slowly, and it always includes making a sweet melody in my heart - then it comes out, and it's worship.
God gives it to us as a present and we give it back. Never read that quote from M. Luther - I like it. Thanks
