What'cha Be?

You are not born a winner,
and you were not born a loser.
You are what you make yourself be.

I have been catching up on your blog. I loved the post with the lyrics to (not sure of the title) "I Come to the Garden Alone." I sat in my chair and began to sing along. Those old hymns are priceless.

Hope all is well with you and Bro. Hopper. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Just take a moment and think, consider, ponder or try to grasp the true reality if this comment. I am what I have made myself be.

Jana,
Some of the old hymns are so soothing to the soul. I remember years ago they used to sing this one. We are doing fine, with Bro Hopper's health turning in a few areas - but God is Good.

Mervi,
We have a choice to be good or bad. That is the choice that is ours.

April,
When we realize that we only want to be what the Lord wants us to be - then true contentment can come our way.

This reminds me of a quote I heard a long time ago.

Your life is a gift from God. What you make of your life is your gift to God.

By His grace, I want to present Him with a gift that will please Him.

Carol,
Words no truer said. To please Him is what is important.
