Wow! Here's a whole new meaning to "An Apple a Day". Made me think of how important it is to stay healthy, not only physically but (how about) spiritually.
PS: Doing this post reminded me of an old-time preacher who used to say, while preaching, "Eat it saints". Any of you remember hearing his words?

Hey, at least they had a car to put the apples in. When we were in Africa, they carried everything on their head. Often the load was much more than their own weight.
I do remember hearing some of those preachers saying "Eat it, saints." I've heard by father-in-law say it. Of course, he got it from I. H. Terry.
Great picture.
I never heard that expression but live it.
I mean, love it. :-)
You always share the greatest photos... and you always write a thoughtful post. Thanks for sharing!
(BTW, my blog has been changed to goodstewards.wordpress.com)

Hello Karen, yes, it has been awhile. Thanks for the comments on my blog. Been tring to stay healthy myself for the last few years, and working on the spirtual part too. Good to hear from you, Terry
Jana,
You and Brian need to write a book about your adventures in Africa. I'll be first on the list to buy one. Yes, it was I.H. Terry that I remember saying it.
Helen,
Can you imagine having apples taking over your vehicle? Maybe one of us should write a poem regarding the same. ???
Jaime,
So good to hear from you. Lost touch but now that I have your new blog address, will be dropping by.
Terry,
So good to hear from you too. Well, all we can do is work on our health and spirituality - if you are like I am, it is constant job.
Apples, apples everywhere
and nary a place to ride.
I like an apple every day,
but this I can't abide.
LOL!!!
Helen,
I love your poetry contribution. Having that many apples riding inside would make one say "I can't abide."
Love it!! LOL!! I have not heard any preachers say that... but seems appropriate for us to do!! EAT THE WORD (the Bread of Life!)
Never heard anybody say it from the pulpit - but I agree with it. I did hear Elder I. H. Terry preach, he just didn't use the expression.
Wonder where the picture is from. Who ever took it was inside a Mercedes-Benz, quite a contrast!
I'm trying to consider my health this year. Thanks for the reminder!
Rochelle,
Taking a taste of the Bread of Life is a Christian's substance, isn't it?
Catherine,
Oh, I never noticed the MB emblem until you mentioned it.
Tracie,
Health is important, and I really need to take it more seriously myself.
