Rochelle, True, it is a "poor thing" but sometimes the loads we carry probably make us "poor thingS" in others' eyes.
Kevin, Love your comment, which only adds to my post. When we are burdened down and the Lord lifts us up, we are most assuredly "glad to get off" OUR feet.
Karen I love this picture! I used this one before in a post. My Hope and My Deliver. I LIKE how you used it. The words that you put with the picture are GREAT.
I've seen this picture before, and it cracks me up everytime I see it, but I appreciate the spiritual application here too. There's nothing like having God lift your burdens!
I have never seen a picture that depicts so vividly the feelings that I have had so many times. "Come on Jesus, I need to get my feet on the ground again so I can move forward. There is no way to back this thing up!"

The funniest thing is that now one looks concerned!!!
Jolene & Carol,
I had never seen the picture before - it seems almost cruel for the poor donkey to be up in the air that way.
Susan,
Love what you said. Poor donkey, wonder how long he stayed suspended?
Sister Hopper!

Pastor
Pastor,
I can relate to what you said. At my age, it has happened more times than I care to count.
