Many days I awake and wonder, where is life taking me? So, with pen in hand, here are my thoughts....
In the midst of dawn’s glistening light
I hear the sound of the dove
As it downs on the olive branch,
Precariously observing the movings below
Where is it going?
To new heights, soaring among the clouds
On wings of peace and contentment
The river crawls along the mountain’s edge
Rushing down into the valley’s cavity
Among the jagged rocks it sings a love song,
Happily bursting forth with sounds of praise
Where is it going?
To new horizons, tossing furiously over every obstacle
Hurriedly into the sea to become as one.
A tired, frail stranger, a mere ribbon of existence,
Standing on the shore, overlooking a vast expanse
Gazing beyond the fragility of today,
Years of struggle and pain are etched on his face
Where is this pilgrim going?
To a better place, rejoicing in the confidence
That all is well between him and his Maker.

Beautiful!
It's wonderful to know where you're going, even when you can't see the entire road.
Beautiful! Knowing that "all is well" is certainly our strength!
Your inspiring use of both pictures and words is great.

Dear Karen,
Have you ever considered publishing your collection of poetry? What a gift God has given you! You have such an eloquent way of spinning and weaving words in and out through rhythm and rhyme. The end result is an heirloom of inspiration and beauty every time.
I'd buy it if you did!!!
Mervi,
Thanks for the words.
Shannon,
Honestly, I have a couple of draft manuscripts, one for poetry and a couple of inspirational-type books. If the Lord ever opens the door, I hope I would have the courage to go through. However, I don't believe it has not been in God's timing as yet.
Karen,
Yes, yes, yes!
God's timing is always best.
Sometimes God simply unlocks the doors and then we are expected to open them and walk through. The day He unlocks your door of opportunity, I do expect that you'll also have the courage you need to reach out and open it as you walk on through into His blessings.
