Hold Fast My Friend

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly

In one of my Psychology class’ we read about a study done some time back, where a number of students were fitted with instruments to measure eye movement during sleep. The more and faster eye movement as we sleep indicates a state of dreaming. When these students entered this state they were awaken. Object, to see what would happen without dreams. The study was brought to a halt in seventy-two hours. Those participating in the test started to have some very unpredictable emotional results. The conclusion, man needs to dream.

It seems as if dreams are the topic of my life right now... I have been talking to the young people in our church about dreams - short term, long term, fun dreams, serious dreams... we all need to dream. Oh, you know what... that's even the name of my blog! Dreams are what motivate me to become who He wants me to be. :) Great post.

Mervi & Rochelle,
Yes, we must dream. For without dreams we have no life.

Helen,
I had never read any of his work before now. After your comment, I read "Feet o'Jesus". I definitely will be looking for more of his work.
