Love's On Its Way! Or, Is It??

"I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon". Provider Unknown

After reading that quote, I "googled" some various Cupid types. I was surprised at the many looks (and shapes). You know, Cupid was originally created to personify "falling in love" - and after seeing some of the faces (and bodies) of the Valentine icon I believe it could have a reverse effect in a few cases. Here's a few illustrations of Lover Boy (or Girl).

Very interesting, Karen. I think it's great that we can trace (read, google) the beginnings of some of the things we do (and have "always done") to find out their "real" history. Not that that will change what we do. LOL

Helen,
I've got to where I live by "google". It makes life easier, and I don't have to spend as much time at the library for research. Plus using the maps takes me to locations found in articles I read. And I do agree, "google articles" won't make me change my ways unless their information/advise scares me to death.

Mervi,
Shame on you. He definitely looks like the most violent of the bunch. LOL
