He Is My Solid Rock

When you have come to the edge of all the light you have - and step into the darkness of the unknown - believe that one of the two will happen to you - either you'll find something solid to stand on - or you'll be taught how to fly!

Incrediable! I am thankful for Christ our solid rock!

Beautiful picture! However, I believe we are to be followers of the Light. I do not see Christ asking us to ever jump into darkness. Instead, we are to look for Light. Sometimes there may be just a pinpoint of light, and darkness may be all around us, but it is the Light that we are to look for to guide us. If we come to the edge of the Light and see only darkness ahead, perhaps we need to turn back towards the Light, or wait upon the Lord to show us a gleam of Light to step into. It takes no less faith to walk in the Light than to jump into the darkness.

But Sis. Karen I can fly now!!

It all depends on my forward speed as to how far this chunk of clay can gluide, more like a rock!

But HE will lift me up on HIS wings.

Once more a great post.

"He's my solid rock," even when He's surrounded by nothing but air. Even when I could fall to my death, I'm safe in His loving arms. No rock ever felt so loving.

April, Mervi & Helen,
Thank you for your comments.

Shanchere,
Thank you for dropping by and commenting. No, I too, do not and have never thought of the Lord as darkness but in a Christian's walk we do walk in lonely (ie, dark) places. It's just part of the territory. And our "flying" is not in the natural but spiritual as there are times we truly soar higher in Him, and that's when we are faith bound. God bless.
