Yes, it is dark in a dark room. The need for the absence of light is to allow the Negatives to take form. The way you work in a dark room is with a RED light. Just keep the light of His blood shinning in that dark room. Then those negatives will become a beautiful picture.
I don't like dark places either, and surely don't want to feed those negative thoughts.
But I love Mervi point "those negatives will become a beautiful picture". I played around with black & white photography in my late teens and you cannot skip that step - the dark room, the RED light. The Blood is there all the time - thank God for the Blood!

True...I told someone yesterday that lack of sleep causes worry and fear. I really don't like those dark places.
